Daddy's Girl

Tatum loves her Dada.  Philip is great to watch Tatum so that I can go to girl's nights once a week.  Now that she has to go to bed so early, she can't hold out too long on Tuesday nights.

Here are a few of their special times.

Tatum thought it was hilarious when Philip put his hat on her head.  This is one of the FEW things that she will allow to stay on her head.

They love to hug!

She's a good snuggler....

10 months!

Yesterday Tatum turned 10 months old.  For her 10 month birthday she got to have blood work, a shot, a catheter, and a chest X-ray.  She was thrilled!

She ran a fever Thursday night and it stayed 102-103 even with medicine so Philip took her to the pediatrician.  Everything was clear except her blood work showed she had a pretty bad bacterial infection.  Fortunately today the antibiotics seem to be helping and she's only had a slight fever today. YAY!

But while they were there we got another accurate weight....drumroll please....18 pounds!!!

The chocolate has probably helped with weight gain.....HA!  We were eating chocolate covered strawberries the last time the girls came over and Ray-Ray fed hers to Tatum....She loooved it!!

Recently Tatum also made a visit to see Uncle Chad at the fire station.  She was quite attached to him!

Here Lately.....

Eating: rice cereal, cheerios, puffs, crackers, pinto beans, baby spaghetti
Still taking 5 oz and then 7 oz at night of milk
The sippy cup is not really your friend yet.  We've tried several without any luck :(
Now you are wearing a size 3 diaper
You scoot around everywhere and HATE....HATE the pack n play.
You can transition to crawl but you just don't crawl.
You have a tooth!!!  one...lower left.

Ju Ju and Tuffy have now moved and we were introduced to their church last sunday!

Random Pictures

Tatum enjoyed a pool day and wore her sunglasses well!

Now that Tatum is in the bigger class, she gets to go on buggy rides.  She loves getting to go outside and see other kids around day care.

We are still a big fan of the jumpy!  It wears her out....

These two pictures are very special to me because we bought this outfit last Memorial Day weekend when we were on our last vacation before Tatum was born.  We picked this out and it was our only purchase for her that trip because I just loved the shabby chic fabric.  It was surreal to see her wearing it a bit since I picked it out with her in mind but before we knew her.  I love it!

9 Months and a virus

Tatum is now 9 months old!  We went for our check up the other day and she was 17 pounds!
25% in weight and hight.  75% in head circumference.  Unfortunately Tatum has my large head.

As I was getting her out of the car seat at her appointment, I noticed a rash on Tatum's legs.  We then went in and Cush-John was thinking it was the beginning of Hand, Foot, and Mouth or maybe just a heat rash because she didn't have any spots on her hand or in her mouth.

Well Friday morning she woke up at Nonnie's with a lovely rash on her cheeks....Fifth's Disease.

Here are the lovely rosey cheeks!

Tatum had a slumber party with Nonnie, Camden, Kaity Beth, and Uncle Chad.  They kept her a night while Philip and I went to Tyler for a work dinner.  Then she spent the night with Mee-Mee and Papa two nights while Philip and I got away for our anniversary.  We went to Dallas and shopped.  Also Philip got to play golf at Las Colinas.  It was fun to get away but we were ready to see and play with our little T.

Here's a picture of the course.

Physical Therapy

Tatum and I went for her follow up visit at therapy this week.  She was mystified in the waiting room with this toy.

OT was great.  Her fine motor skills are 2 months ahead of where she should be at 9 months.  They bribed her with puffs and of course she cooperated since food was involved.  She gets that from her mom.

More fun with the toy.

I forgot to get a picture of her doing PT mainly because we were getting pointers on how to help her progress along.  She's a little behind in the gross motor movement.  About 7 months in that department which is really only a few weeks off of her due date.  We don't have to go back for 3 more months!

Tatum attends her first birthday party

William is my friend Liz's little boy who Tatum plays with every week at girl's night.  They have a good time and love each other!

We have already declared them girlfriend and boyfriend.

William had a great birthday party at their house with great food and a cute cake.

William didn't dig into the cake like his Aunt Jennifer wanted him to!

Us trying to snap a pic before William took his nap.

We are excited about Tatum's birthday in September!

The Pool

One of my all time favorite activities is pool time!  I love being in the sun and  lounging by the pool.  Of course I wear SPF 55 at least! Tatum will definitely do the same.  Tatum finally got to go to the pool and lounge.

Tatum was all decked out in her polka dot bikini and flip flops from her Aunt Shea!

We got her a little float and she thought she was kicking her way around the pool
although it was really us pushing her around the pool.

Her hat is precious!  Reversible with a bow that snaps on it from Sara.

Many more fun days at the pool to come!
